National Obesity week in LutonAs it was National Obesity Week the Luton Public Health team wanted to go out into the community and get people active and give them some advice on health eating. what better way to do this was there than to get the Skip2Bfit Outdoor Events team to come along and get the public skipping and eating healthy blueberries.

When we first arrived the weather was against us with snow showers coming down but we continued and at around midday the sun came out and so did the crowds.

We had over 200 people take the two minute Challenge on the day and register with the Luton Live Well Team. They ranged from young children to OAPs and everybody who had a go was given a Skip2Bfit skipping rope and box of blueberries to take away. Many people taking part were shocked to realise how unfit they had become and were keen to get practising in their gardens afterwards, having mini-competitions  with family and friends.
