We know SKIP2BFIT works. It works because it directly links actual physical effort to personal achievement. In a world that is filled with never-ending tasks on a computer screen this sense of achievement and completion can have astonishing results in terms of motivation and team building. Trialled successfully at the inaugural Houses of Parliament training and challenge day, SKIP2BFIT pitted 40 MPS against each other. It worked because it was fun. As Justin King, CEO of Sainsbury’s said :- "Both Active Kids and Skip2bfit aim to promote a sense of fun and competition in exercise." " I certainly enjoyed rolling up my sleeves and giving the competition my best shot." Steven Ladyman MP was keen to emphasise what a great motivational tool SKIP2BFIT had been, determined as he was to beat Ann Widdecombe! We have now developed a training programme, linked to the challenge day concept to build capability and performance within corporations and SMEs. We are looking to deliver structured skills and performance programmes around a one day period that link personal achievement to professional motivation in a training and challenge day.
